Tata Motors brand has launched its first pure electric sedan called Tata Tigor EV. The price is of Rs 9.44 Lakh after deducting the Government subsidies. It comes with two charging ports for fast charging as well as slow AC charging. The electric Tigor now has an extended range of 213 kilometers.
Tata Tigor EV price starts at ₹ 10.59 Lakhs and goes upto ₹ 10.91 Lakhs.
The 2019 Tata Tigor EV range is 213km according to ARAI on a single charge. The battery can be charged by an AC charger within 6 hours or, through a 15kW DC charger within 90 minutes up to 80 percent.
Tata Tigor EV receives almost the same features and exteriors as its diesel/petrol version, except for the signature EV decals on the front face. It also has some blue coloured lettering and mild detailing. At the front, it has projector headlights and premium front grille. In terms of tail, tailgate with chrome badging, the new bumper with cladding, high-mounted stop lamps and LED tail lights. The Tigor EV is available in three colour options including Pearlescent White, Egyptian Blue and Roman Silver.
Inside the cabin, it gets dual-tone Classic black and grey theme while it has Harman sound system with eight speakers, height adjustable driver's seat and fabric seats as standard. It also has a five-inch touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation system ,and rear parking assist,
The Tigor EV dimensions 3,992mm in length, 1,677mm wide, and has a height of 1,537mm, with a wheel base of 2,450mm. It has a boot space of 255-litres.
Specification and Features
The electric motor produces 40bhp at 4,500 rpm of max power and a peak torque of 105Nm at 2,500 rpm. The motor is mated with a single speed automatic transmission. The engine is powered by a 21.5 kWh battery pack with a battery cooling system.
