2020 Kia Carnival Launched In India: Luxury MPV; Captain Seat; Price at 24 Lakh


Kia Motors India has launched the premium MPV Kia Carnival in this country last week. the Kia Carnival is a bit larger and far more premium MPV comparing to its rival Toyota Innova Crysta. Its price starts at Rs 24.95 lakh, which means it’s also slightly more expensive than Crysta (especially the diesel variant). The new Kia Carnival already seems a popular choice among the buyers, with over 3,500 bookings received until last week. And Carnival is the second product that the South Korean automobile manufacturer sells in India while the first one is Kia Seltos.

Kia Carnival price starts at ₹ 24.95 Lakhs and goes upto ₹ 33.95 Lakhs. The price of Diesel variant for Carnival ranges between ₹ 24.95 Lakhs - ₹ 33.95 Lakhs. Kia Carnival is available in three variants including Premium, Prestige, and Limousine. Below are the variant-wise Kia Carnival India prices (ex-showroom).

Kia Carnival Exterior


The front grill of Carnival must be the highlight of the car. It features the signature Kia 'tiger-nose' grille, and surrounded by LED DRL-wrapped LED projection headlights. And this might the most aggressive and sporty front grill I have ever seen on an MPV. There is also a large area of chrome used on the front grill which enhances a premium stance. At the rear, it has LED taillights, rear spoiler with LED HMSL and skid plate. What’s more, shark fin antenna, roof rails, floating roof design, and 18-inch alloy wheels make it feel sporty in detail.

The car will be offered in three trims including Premium, Prestige ,and Limousine and with multiple seating configurations of 7, 8 and 9. There are two 7 seater options, the standard version has 4 captain seats with 3 sinking seats and another variation called 7 VIP, has an option of second-row VIP seat. The 8-seater has 4 captain seats and 3 sinking seats and 9-seater has 6 captain seats with 3 sinking seats. In terms of the infotainment system, the luxury MPV has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the driver and 10-inch Dual Touchscreen Rear Seat Entertainment System for those passengers at the rear. It has lots of other useful features including tri-zone automatic AC, auto defog windscreen, smart cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel. It also comes with a multifunction steering wheel, 3.5-inch display panel, wireless smartphone charger, 220V laptop charger, 360-degree camera and driving rearview monitor.


Kia Carnival Dimension


KIA Grand Carnival measures 5,115mm in length, 1,985mm in width, 1,755mm in height and it sits on a 3,060mm long wheelbase. Luggage space, with all seats up, is a whopping 960 litres, which grows to 2220 litres when you drop the third row and then 4022 litres if the second-row seats are folded.

Under the hood of the new Carnival is a BS6-compliant, 2.2-litre, VGT diesel engine with greater efficiency and performance that delivers 200PS of max power and 440Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to Kia’s 8-speed sportsmatic transmission.
